INFORMATION ABOUT OUR GUESTHOUSE
We, Romy & Johannes, spent a long time imagining what a dream house in the mountains should look like. What it should have, what it should offer. But the furnishings aren’t everything. Quite the opposite.
What matters most to us is the exchange with our guests, opening up new perspectives – inward and outward. And, of course, a generous dose of attention to detail.

First and foremost, the Romy & Johannes Guesthouse is made for people who know each other well: multi-generational families, groups of friends, couples – anyone who wants to live in a house, not just “use” it.
Important to know: you never book a single room with us. You always book the entire house. Just for yourselves. No shared hallways, no unfamiliar voices at breakfast. The whole place is yours alone.
Breakfast in your pyjamas, long evenings on the terrace, shared moments – and still enough space to retreat whenever you feel like it.
Just like at home. Common spaces here, private corners there.
That too is vacation.

A place where you don’t just go on vacation, but live for a while the way locals do: relaxed, approachable, real.
Behind it lies a dream of Romy and Johannes, who live right next door. You feel it especially in the details: in the warmth of the house, in the atmosphere, in that feeling of truly belonging – even if just for a short while.
A cosy place that doesn’t just show South Tyrol – it lets you experience it.

Simple: you can.
You’ll find us on booking.com, Airbnb and the like – neatly listed and bookable at any time.
But something important is missing there.
You.
Or rather: the direct contact, the short conversation, the “Who are you, how do you travel, what makes your holiday perfect?”
And to be honest: the portals charge fees – for us and usually for you too. Not dramatic, but not our priority.
What matters most to us is the personal connection.
That’s why we’re happiest when you reach out directly – call us, write to us, stop by … whatever works best for you.
This way, your holiday starts with a real encounter – not an algorithm.
The Guesthouse is spacious and still wonderfully cosy. There are areas designed for being together and snug corners for privacy.
In total, the Guesthouse features: 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 garage spaces, a fitness room, a top-floor living area with kitchen, a stunning wellness garden, and 4 additional balconies – each with incredible views of the Merano area.
Ideally, we recommend the house for 2–6 guests.
For up to 8 guests, just ask us – we’ll make it work.
